Why Learn from Kathleen?
Pastor Kathleen has been an ordained Lutheran pastor for 42 years. She has served in small rural congregations, on the staff of a 6000-member city congregation and in a team ministry with her husband in a good-sized rural congregation.
After the new senior pastor of the large city congregation gave her ‘the opportunity to choose’ to either resign or be fired, she took time out to take a hard look at herself, at ministry, and her sense of call. She took 4 units of CPE and became certified by her denomination to be a chaplain in both hospital and long-term care ministry. But God had other plans, which included getting married, moving, building a house (she designed the floor plan) and 12 years in a team ministry with her husband. Kathleen retired when she was ready and has started her own business working with other women who are faith leaders and for over 4 years has been the host of a weekly live internet radio show.
Before being given the choice of how to be terminated from her position Kathleen saw ministry mainly in very traditional terms. That experience started her on the road to stepping outside the box, dreaming bigger, being very inclusive, and learning how to value all of herself and others. All of these experiences, additional trainings and resources, and most importantly a bigger, bolder vision of what God allows and enables for us a female faith leader is what Kathleen brings to those who work with her.
This is NOT FOR YOU IF
- You’re completely satisfied with your ministry now
- All of your dreams about ministry are being fulfilled
- There are no small thinkers in your faith community
- You never think small
- You’re currently reaching and impacting all the people God wants you to reach
"I have had the pleasure of being a part of Kathleen's entrepreneurial journey as she has gone from starting with telling her story to build her dream of serving women in leadership in faith communities. If there was a wish for a professional who understands the journey, shares her journey, and ultimately guides others along their journey, Kathleen is that connection. She is an accomplished radio and tv show host and uses her platform to spread the messages of others that also serve her audience. If you have never thought of a coach to help you overcome small thinking in ministry (a problem you likely didn't realize you may have), I recommend you having a conversation with Kathleen. You will leave with ideas, direction, and encouragement to further your ministry development, presence, and growth."

This is for you IF:
- There are days, even many days when you feel isolated
- There are times you’ve seriously considered leaving ministry because the message keeps getting lost in the mess of ministry
- The mission you feel called to isn’t what you’re currently doing
- You’re still fighting to be seen as good as your male colleagues and to have the same opportunities as they get
- You believe God has called you and that the dreams God has given you are urgent
BY coming you will…
- know how to stop limiting yourself, which includes identifying and owning the ‘wins’ in your ministry
- know how to break through the small thinkers around you and build leaders or a team with a vision
- know how to build or rebuild a ministry you actually love and never be on autopilot again
- be part of a group of women who understand and support each other
If you don’t come…
- you’ll more than likely continue to be as alone, frustrated and stuck as you are now
- you’re dreams and vision for what God could be doing where you are will continue to be unfulfilled
- the small thinkers around you will continue to kill your leadership and dreams as well as the ministry of your faith community
"I have known Pastor Kathleen Panning now for several months and she has come to be a very special colleague in ministry, a true friend, and mentor. She was very kind to invite me on her show with Aflame Ministry, and it was indeed my honor to be her guest… Pastor Panning understands the obstacles that often hinder our progress, such as unequal pay and job opportunities, abuse, and neglect of many women and their children. She encourages women to use their God-given talent to His glory and seeks to, through her platforms, provide the means for that to happen. I am blessed to know her, happy to partner with her, and look forward to our accomplishing great things together in the near future."

" It was a great pleasure to be interviewed by Kathleen Panning on her podcast, Aflame Ministry. Pastor Kathleen is a subtle but gifted interviewer. She is warm and genuinely curious — able to find the spirit in her surprisingly wide range of guests. She has an open heart that lets her reach across apparent religious divides even as she stays true to her own perspective and tradition. Highly recommended. Thank you for your ministry, Pastor Kathleen!"
